Get Paid By Making Surveys Online

Monday, July 31st, 2006

Many websites will post ads that say something like ” Huggies vs. Pampers, take this survey and get a $500 gift card”. That is not a paid survey! If you read the terms of that type of offer it will tell you that you need to join their sponsor offers and trials to receive the reward.

What is a Real Paid Survey ?

A real paid survey is conducted by a legitimate market research firm. The market research firm is hired by a company to gather information about a certain product or advertisement. An example of this would be:

A major cell phone company wants to change their logo and slogan and wants to see which one of their ideas has the most appeal to the public. They hire Luth Research to conduct a study of people 18 - 35 in major cities who own a cell phone. Luth Research then sends a survey to their online panelists via their online paid surveys division, Survey Savvy. They may send the survey to 10,000 people. Each of those 10,000 people are paid $5 to answer questions about the way they feel about the advertisement, which logo and slogan they think is best and why. The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete and the panelist is mailed a check a few weeks after the study is complete.

Where Can I Find a Legitimate Source For Paid Surveys ?

There are hundreds of paid survey panels that you can join that are legitimate and do exactly what Survey Savvy does. The problem is finding a resource for paid surveys that actually promotes real paid surveys. There are sites where you can pay a fee of up to $60.00 just to get a list of legitimate paid survey panels. These sites are taking advantage of the fact that most people don’t know that the same information is available free all over the internet. You can try searching any of the major search engines like MSN.com for a Free Paid Surveys Directory. This will bring up several sites that actually have everything a paid membership site has but is totally FREE.

What are the Best Paid Surveys

From my experience the best paid survey panels you can join are Greenfield Online, Opinion Outpost, Survey Savvy, Lightspeed Research, and NFO My Survey. All of those can be found on any free paid surveys directory or by searching a site like MSN.com for the “Top 20 Paid Survey Panels”

When starting out in paid surveys it is best to at least join the top 20 paid survey panels. Each panel will not send paid surveys everyday. Some may send a survey once a month, while others may send you 5 a week. It all depends on who they need and when they need them. So the obvious thing to do is join as many as possible. That way you are almost guaranteed to receive at least one paid survey a day. Sometimes more.

Success Starts in the Mind

Saturday, July 29th, 2006

We hear over and over again, “You can do anything if you set your mind to it.” If this is true why aren’t more incredible things being accomplished on a daily basis? If all that stands between us and success is ourselves, why are more home businesses failing than soaring? It all comes down to how we perceive our business to be and what goals we set we set in our minds. More often than not, we set our minds to failure.

We can easily set our minds on what we will have for dinner and go after it. Likewise, we can almost robotically figure out what television shows to watch for the entire evening and then spend the night battling all distractions so that we can sit in front of a glowing box and soak in every moment. But when it comes to gaining freedom through our home business, we never have that same decisiveness. This because instead of focusing our minds on how to accomplish the goals for our business and ultimately succeed, we focus on all the obstacles that we imagine might come against us and we are defeated before we even begin.

Having a successful mind set does not mean that we will never worry about or experience problems in our business, it means having the resolve to push past those negative barriers and take another step towards our prize. Here are a few tips on how train your mind for success:

Set your business goals for the day

Most people do not set daily goals when they start their business, they just sit in front of their computer fumbling at several different tasks hoping to get “something” accomplished. When you clearly define your goals you know what you are working towards and when you have succeeded.

Make your goals specific

If people do set goals it is usually on a very broad scope. Examples of those types of goals are, “My goal is to make a million dollars” or “I will buy a new car.” While these goals may be attainable in the future, they are impractical for the average person who is in the beginning stage of building their business. Specific daily goals should be set so that they can be accomplished within that day. Goals like these can include, “I will set up my computer” or “I will review the new software program I purchased,” or anything else that you can do to take a success stride towards your daily goal.

Celebrate your victories

No matter how small you feel a task is, if it was one of your daily goals and you accomplished it, you have succeeded. Take pride in what you have done because you are one step further than when you started.

Look ahead to the next day

When you complete the tasks that you set for the day, you can look at the next with confidence knowing that you have the ability to turn goals into concrete reality. Use the success you have earned and carry it to the next day and the next and the next. You can keep building on the daily successes you have until they spill over to the ultimate success you have in your mind.

19 Tips To Know About Buying a Business

Monday, July 24th, 2006

1.) Most Small Business owners have considered, or will consider, selling their business.

2.) Most prospective buyers do not follow through on the urge to buy a business because they find the prospect of buying a business too complicated.

3.) Although it would be impossible to point out every single item necessary when buying a business, the major requirements are: Deciding on the type(s) of business to buy, Finding the right business to buy, Determining the condition of the business that is being considered for purchase, Valuing and properly pricing the business, Financing the transaction.

4.) Occasionally, a business that is unique and very simple almost manages itself. But if the business is in a competitive field, management ability is probably the most important requirement for success.

5.) A business owner will need to have (or develop) the following important skills: Effectiveness with people, Business and financial management abilities, Experience in the industry.

6.) Buyers are usually tempted to consider value as a fair price for tangible items such as equipment and inventory. These factors are important, but they have value only to the extent that they contribute to future profits. So the true measure of a business’ value is its ability to produce profit.

7.) Before buying a small business, the prospective owner should ask the following questions: i) What am I buying (or selling)? Is it a business or a building full of equipment and inventory? ii) What return would I get if I invested my money elsewhere-in stocks, bonds, or other business opportunities? iii) What return should I get from an investment in this business?

8.) The results of the financial transactions of every company should be reflected in its periodic financial statements. These statements are extremely important in buying a small business. They were prepared for the seller, of course, and their contents are available to him. But the buyer, too, should be aware during the early stages of a buy-sell transaction of the information contained in financial statements.

9.) The balance sheet is a statement of the financial position of the business at a given moment in time.

10.) The income statement is a summary of the revenue and expenses of the business during a specified period of time.

11.) If the seller’s financial statements are prepared by an independent accountant, the statements should show whether they were (1) prepared after an audit of the seller’s accounts, or (2) prepared from the seller’s records without verification by audit.

12.) Most small companies do not have their records audited annually, but without an audit it is almost impossible to tell how accurate the statements really are.

13.) If a buyer wants to invest money in a business that is being sold, he should be concerned about receiving a fair return on his investment. Many businesses can make a profit for a short time (1 to 5 years); not so many operate profitably over a longer period of time.

14.) The buyer of a small business should try to determine the risk factor of the new business, though this is difficult at best and in many cases impossible.

15.) The seller of a business must furnish a list of his creditors to the buyer and the buyer should give notice to the creditors of the pending sale. Not doing so can result in attachment of the property after the sale, by creditors of the seller and voiding of the transaction.

16.) A buyer generally has two options when financing the purchase of a business: Equity Capital is cash, whether or not it is supplied by the buyer (e.g. from friends, family, venture capital, etc.) Debt capital is borrowed money and may be from a bank or the seller him/herself (see $0-Down Strategies).

17.) In determining how much debt to incur, the buyer should consider how much money he/she has and how much he/she is willing to invest in the business. The less equity from the buyer, the more debt capital is needed.

18.) In figuring out how much debt can be afforded, the prospective buyer should consider the business’ ability to keep up principal and interest payments.

19.) Goodwill, when it exists, is a valuable asset. It may result from a good reputation, a convenient location, efficient and courteous treatment of customers, or other causes.

Make Money with Affiliate Marketing

Saturday, July 22nd, 2006

When you join an affiliate program nothing happens until you help your merchant partner sell his goods and services. This will be done through your website and your advertising. It is only after a sale is made that you receive a commission for your assistance in making the sale.

It is therefore necessary for you to have a well designed website and a well thought out marketing plan that generates a regular flow of traffic to your site. Most of the work you will have to do in any affiliate program involves creating, improving, and tweaking your website and advertising so that you can achieve more traffic and sales.

Advertising will bring traffic to your site. Creating a better site will enable you to make the sale, and in effect, generate superior returns for your efforts.

Some suggestions you might want to consider when building and upgrading your web site.

Understand your market. Your site should cater to a target market. You do not want to have a site that caters to everyone. It gets too confusing and expensive. Instead, analyze the current market and decide on the area where you can make the most profit. Avoid spreading yourself too thin. Instead, concentrate on learning everything about the products and services that you offer. By so doing you will be able to better merchandise and market the products and services. You will be much better off choosing a topic or product that you know and love, than choosing five topics or products that you do not know or understand. You will not make money online if you do not specialize.

Advertise intelligently. When you build your website you must have your product and visitors in mind. Will your product and finished site be something that people will want to come back to on a regular basis? Will they want to visit regularly, or will they be turned off by what is there? Many site builders make the mistake of just putting up banners and links wherever they can. Put your shoes on backwards and look at your site as a prospective customer. Would you actually bother to click on these ads or banners, especially when they are nothing more but a nuisance? Remember it is your customer’s dollars that make your business successful. Try to build your site with your customers in mind, and provide for what they will need and want.

Customer satisfaction is important in affiliate marketing, as in all other businesses. You want to build long lasting relationships by adopting the strategies that satisfy your customers and keeps them coming back. You owe it to yourself to apply these strategies and intelligence to your efforts so that you can be included in the elite few who make money online. As long as you stay committed to excellence, making extra money online will not be difficult for you.

Running a Home Business from your Bedroom

Friday, July 21st, 2006

Running a business from your home is no joke until you are successful and smiling all the way to the bank.

There are a lot of details that you will need to keep track of as you aspire to be successful. Please keep in mind that a home business is in essence not much different from traditional ones. Though a successful one makes you more self sufficient, happier and satisfied with everything.

The aim of your business is to make money, to be independent, remember that because it is important. It has to be as efficient and as profitable as you can make it through careful daily action and planning. Everyday is dooms day.

Here are the cardinal rules of running your own home business.

Know yourself. You have to have at least a passing knowledge of yourself to be successful in any endeavor. Its cliche, but you have to understand yourself. By examining yourself, you should be able to pinpoint your strengths and weaknesses. You’ll want to capitalize on the former and minimize the effects of the latter.

If you are a people person, you might want to handle the service section of your home business. If you are the more analytical type, you might consider becoming your own financial planner and leave the service section to someone else like a highly trusted and smart friend or relative who is interested in independence like you are.

Again, focus on what you can do well, and apply that skill to your business. Also, know theirs and balance them off for a good match for both of you.

Learn your business. Know your trade inside and out, and exhaust all efforts to be up to date with all the advances in your realm of business. Read up on what you have to on a regular basis. Newspapers, trade magazines, and business books might be a good place to start. Remember that it is ideas that make real money.

Exercise some creativity, call up a few original ideas, and you will have an edge over the competition. Alternatively, you can also combine preexisting ideas and apply them to your business. By creating or synthesizing ideas, you will be able to create a niche for yourself, which should be the goal of every business. You can even find something that is good already but has important points missing from it and even make these improvements your base for growth.

Know your customers. There is a saying in America, and it goes something like this, “The customer is always right.” However, consider this saying from Japan: “The customer is God.” This is a little carried away but can help you understand the importance of customers for your self. No matter which saying you believe to be more accurate, you must treat yours and others customers like they are the most valuable persons in your business life.

After all, it is they that make it possible for you to make a living. It is only proper that you treasure them and that you look out for them, within reason. Study your customers. Try to put yourself in their shoes, anticipate their concerns, and provide for what they want and need.

Undercommit, but over-perform. Amaze people with the level of service you offer, or the quality of the goods that you sell. Just being two or three percent better than your competition can make the difference between being poor and fair or good and excellent.

Exert all reasonable efforts to exceed their expectations. If they want something done by tomorrow, have it done by this afternoon. If they expect a bill of a hundred dollars, give them one for just ninety-five dollars if you can.

If they look like good potential customers for the future, a small profit or tiny loss now can be a lifelong customer and even friend as time goes by in the long run. If they drive you nuts with constant petty drivel though, it’s better to let them go and wait a little longer for a good customer.

By doing things a little better than everyone else, your customers will come to associate you with excellence. And who doesn’t want to do business with someone excellent? A nice natural high.

Running a home business is fraught with risk, but it can also be a vehicle for huge rewards. By studying yourself and your business, and by offering excellent service and advice, you will have a recipe for success. Ignore your fears, implement your positives first and take the plunge - you’ll be glad you did.

Launch a money making website for you

Thursday, July 20th, 2006

How to launch a website which keeps making money for you!

There are millions of websites on internet but not all of them make money. However by just investing a little extra time before launching a website, one can make sure that there website is going to make money! A little research before hand is all that is required and it’s not at all difficult! Here’s what to do…

When you get an idea of starting a website, do the following before investing even a single dollar in it:

Go to overture and do a keyword research. Enter the theme you are thinking about and see what other related search terms come up. Example if you enter “SEO”, you might see that this term gets many searches a month and the competition of this term is going to be high. But overture will also show you related terms like “SEO company” which are not so competitive and you have a better chance of ranking.
http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/

Next go to google and enter the term you just picked out based on your keyword research. The websites ranking for that term will come up. Do a back link search for these websites to see how many other websites are linking to them. This will give you a complete idea of how tough it’s going to be to get most required back links. If the number is very high, go back to overture and try another term. Keep in mind that the tougher the competition, the less chances you have to make money!

Another important point is that the term should not be very low searched as this is a clear reflection that not many people are interested in that particular topic. Investing time and money in this project may not be very profitable even if you are the only one offerring this!

Now that you have a keyword, an idea and you know how tough it’s going to be, it’s time you book a domain. It can be difficult to get a .COM domain nowadays. Here’s what you should do…

Add a brand name to the keyword. Example if you picked up “SEO company” as keyword, and the name of your company is “PLEX”, you can easily get “seocompanyplex.com”. You got the keywords and you also got the brand recognition!

If you plan on using PPC campaign to advertise your web site, do not forget to check the minimum bid required for your keyword. If this bid is high, it will get costly promoting this website of yours!
Alternatively you can use Exactseek’s advertising where your ad is displayed on 200 high traffic search engines and directories.
http://www.exactseek.com/featured_listings.html

Now it’s time to put a website on that domain. Make sure you hire a professional web site designer in order to get the most out of it. Now when the world is going to web2.0 looks, don’t be left behind!
You might also need some custom PHP code developed which can also be easily handled by your web site designer. Better if they are well aware of SEO tacts and web copywriting also!

By just doing a little free research, you have made sure that your web site will get traffic which is the life blood of any business. Without traffic, no matter how good your web site looks, no matter how useful your product is, it won’t make money for you.

Follow these steps before investing in any web project and success is sure to come!

Build A Residual Income

Wednesday, July 19th, 2006

What is a residual income?

Residual income is a type of income that’s lasting. It means you don’t have to work all your life to earn money, with little effort; you can sit at the comfort of your own home and earn money.

The internet is one of the fastest growing markets for different kinds of businesses. Imagine you can target costumers from almost anywhere in the world. There are also a lot of payment options online. No matter what country you are from there is always an opportunity for you.
Here are some ideas you can do to generate a good paying site.

1. Create ebooks. You can get more profits if you publish it yourself. However there are certain advantages if you let publishers market your book. Publishers know a lot of sites where they can place it because they have more experience. Ebooks are easy to download, you only have to create one and anyone can download it even when you’re not there as long as they pay for it or as long as they’re subscribed. Of course there are certain rules that you have to follow like getting ISBN number for your book.

2. Create downloadable learning tools like CD. If you are an expert on something and you would like to use your expertise to educate people then creating downloadable tools is just perfect for you. You can make a class wherein people learn through listening to your voice and you can charge them to pay for it. If customers like you, they will just keep coming back.

If you find yourself confused by what you’ve read to this point, don’t despair. Everything should be crystal clear by the time you finish.

3. Create a blog that is supported by paid advertisements. Write anything that interests you. You can also link your blogs to other programs that offers site traffic. An example is the google adsense. It is very easy to set-up an account. It is available worldwide. They pay for every click on your blogs’ ads. Payments vary according to the type of advertisements that shows on your ads. However there are certain keywords that can attract advertisers to bid for a place in your blog. Just always bear in mind that do not click your own ads because it is a violation. If they learn about it the adsense team will automatically terminate your account.

4. Participate in affiliate programs. Create a site that will help you campaign for your affiliates. You can visit different affiliate links and some of them don’t require membership fees.

5. Make an online magazine. You can get people to subscribe, participate in the forums and submit articles for you. You can publish it monthly, quarterly, whichever you like.

Home Business Startup

Tuesday, July 18th, 2006

Starting a home business is the dream of many people; in fact, it has become the ideal for millions. If you are reading this article, the chances are high that you are one who believes that there is much more to life than just waking up each morning and working the rest of the day for a wage.

Running a business from your home is no joke. There are a lot of details that you will need to keep track of if you aspire to be successful. Keep in mind that a home business is in essence not much different from traditional ones. The aim of your business is to make money, remember that. It has to be as efficient and as profitable as you can make it.

If you are thinking of working at home, then you must first consider all the variables that will be involved in your potential decision. Working at home, like working outside, carries its own set of advantages and disadvantages. It would be good for you to scrutinize each argument, and examine how much weight such arguments should have on your decision.

There’s nothing wrong with working for a wage, mind you - especially if it pays the bills! However, an increasing number of people are finding that working for someone else is not very rewarding. After all, as an employee it is not likely that you are being compensated according to your real value to the company. In other words, you only get a small percentage of the fruits of your labors - your boss gets the lion’s share.

Now, working at home is not a financial cure-all. In fact, you can expect to have a rough time, especially at the beginning. However, as long as you stay disciplined and do the work that you have to do, you can expect your venture to grow, and your profits to grow as well.

If you are serious about making money online, then you cannot ignore the possibilities that are offered by home businesses. These days, however, there are so many opportunities available that sifting the wheat from the chaff can become a real problem. Everyone who wants to earn some serious money must acquire some skill in evaluating home business opportunities.

In evaluating home business opportunities, the lesson is this: choose the opportunities that suit you; in areas that you love and have talents in. You will never go wrong by following this path. If you are interested in plants, start a plant nursery. If you are a book lover, consider starting a book club. If you are passionate about beauty products, consider setting up a small shop, maybe even mixing your own concoctions. The possibilities are endless and infinitely varied. Whether you want to sell goods or to provide services, you only have to make sure that you provide a quality product at a reasonable price. As long you as what you have to offer is useful, you should be able to make your own opportunities, not wait for them to come by!

Online Home Business can be done Easily

Monday, July 17th, 2006

When people think of making money online, they are often skeptical because of all the scams they see where people will show them how to make millions on the Internet for few bucks. Don’t let a few scammers stop you from making money on the Internet. It is possible and you don’t need their help. There are many ways that people earn money from web sites and doing work online. Some of the most popular ways are creating web sites that feature advertisements on them as well as making money selling goods online with your own eStore or at web sites such as eBay.

The first thing you need to do before you can earn money is to create a web site.
You can hire a professional to create one for you, or make one yourself either through coding or downloading a script/template from another web site.

Then you need to get hosting so that your site will be available on the Internet. This can be done at a number of web hosts including GoDaddy, BlueHost, 1&1 Hosting, Host Gator, and many more.

Once your web site is up and running, you should promote it to help build traffic. Without traffic, a website is worthless. If your site is getting a steady stream of traffic, then it is time to look to sell advertisements. There are three types of advertisements which you can run on your web site, those where you interact directly with the advertiser where they pay you a flat fee for an ad on your web site, PPC programs such as Google AdSense or the Yahoo! Publisher Network who pay you each time a visitor clicks on an advertisement they host on your web site, or through affiliate programs where you place a link to an online store and get a portion of the all sales from visitors you refer.

If you feel you are not up to running a web site and securing advertising, you can sell items online, using your own eStore. Pick a product, set up an eStore through your hosting provider and make money when someone purchases a good from your store. You can also make money selling items on web marketplaces such as eBay and CraigsList.

There are a number of legitimate ways you can make money online. Whether you are looking for a full time job or a part time income, making money through an online business is the most convenient way to do it. Don’t be turned off by those wishing to sell you a book on how to make money online. Visit and read the posts at many webmaster forums and you will get a great sense on how hundreds are earning a living from web sites and online sales.

Create your own Product to sell on the Internet.

Saturday, July 15th, 2006

How to create your own product to sell on the Internet.

You may think creating your own product to sell at home on the Internet is difficult, but it can be simple with the right information. So let’s talk about business information products. I’m going to try and shed some light on the subject so you can make an online paycheck.

If you think for just a moment about the fact that most people want badly things that are hard to find, or are in short supply. Hence the term “Hot Product”.
So in order to sell a Hot Product in your home based internet business, that you create, you need to have a product that is in demand, hard to find, or that is in short supply.

A little more about hot products. A hot product is one that is popular. “How do I know what is popular?”… you mite ask. The best way to work at home is to learn about popular products at a place where popular things are sold, like a local retail business. This is where you’ll find many income opportunities. The store sell’s things that are popular, right? Here’s where you can learn something from those who are already successfully selling hot products then transfer the idea’s to your online business.

First of all you’ll notice that things that are hot are not hidden way in the back of the store on the bottom shelf. You’ll find hot products up front, easy to see, easy access. In fact, if it’s a hot product you’ll find it usually on sale or near the end of the isles.

Now that we can see what popular items are and where some are sold, let’s use the Internet now and look up some of the things we mite see. What we’re trying to do here is confirm that a product is in need on the Internet.

The idea is, if it’s being searched for consistently on the Internet it must be of interest, or a product of need, and would make a good business product. If after searching for this item on the Internet we find that many searches have been done recently then we know we’ve found a hot product. You can do what is called a “Keyword” search on the Internet. What we want to know is… how many times, on a daily bases, is this keyword being searched?

To get this information you could use a keyword research tool like Wordtracker.com, Nichebot.com, Overture.com, Digitalpoint.com, or many others. Just type in “keyword search tools”
at your search engine.

Now ask yourself. Is there a problem here, with this item, that I can help solve by
giving some information about it? If so you’ll have a good business.
For example:” I know where to get this product cheaper,” Or,” I know how to build/make this product/service,” Or,” I know the truth about this business”…etc. In other words, provide a solution to the problem. Create a bridge to the item, or connection to the item, a way to get the products and services to the demands of the market. This is what you call online marketing.

If you focus on hot product markets it should be simple to create a product for your business that people want to know about. Just follow topics that people want to know about, and create a solution. This is a good way to find hot or niche markets that are just waiting for you to solve a problem,
and where there’s a problem there’s a product. This is where good business building comes into play.

Another example: I just bought a car. You could create a product focused on car care. It would be very likely that I would purchase a good information product that would instruct me on how to care for my car since I want to keep it running good.

Just remember, when creating your own Internet product, where there’s a problem there’s a product.
